Granola Bars

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 25 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 cups rolled oats (old-fashioned)
  • 3/4 cup almonds
  • 1/2 cup toasted wheat germ
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon light corn syrup
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup roasted sunflower seeds
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup golden raisin
  • 1/4 cup dried apricot

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350 degrees and toast oats, almonds and sunflower seeds for 15 minutes and then lower heat to 300 degrees.
  • 2 grease a 9x9 glass baking dish.
  • 3 heat honey, corn syrup, sugar, salt, and vanilla over low heat in a small saucepan.
  • 4 combine with the rest of the ingredients in a large bowl.
  • 5 press down in baking dish and bake for 25 minutes.
  • 6 allow to cool completely before slicing into 8 bars.
