Pesto Cheese Wreath Mold

Total Time: 8 hrs 30 mins Preparation Time: 30 mins Cook Time: 8 hrs

Ingredients

  • Servings: 24
  • 3 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup whipping cream or 1/4 cup half-and-half
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon onion salt
  • 1/2 cup pesto sauce
  • 1/3 cup chopped roasted red pepper

Recipe

  • 1 beat cream cheese and mayonnaise in small bowl until smooth.
  • 2 beat in whipping cream, sugar and onion salt.
  • 3 line a 5-cup ring mold or wreath mold (i use a jello mold) with plastic wrap.
  • 4 spoon half of cheese mixture into prepared mold; spread evenly.
  • 5 spread pesto evenly over cheese.
  • 6 top with chopped red peppers.
  • 7 spoon remaining cheese mixture over peppers; spread evenly.
  • 8 cover; refrigerate until cheese is firm, about 8 hours or overnight.
  • 9 uncover mold.
  • 10 invert onto serving plate.
  • 11 carefully remove plastic wrap.
  • 12 smooth tops and sides with spatula.
  • 13 you may garnish with parsley and strips of red pepper to look like holly.
  • 14 serve with crackers and vegetables.
