Hanoi Bun Bao

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 5 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 1/2 lbs beef flank steak, cut into thin slices and pounded
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic (crushed)
  • cooked rice noodles
  • 1 teaspoon ginger (julienned)
  • 3 cloves garlic (cut in halves)
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1/2 lb dry roasted peanuts (smashed in mortar and pestle)
  • 1 lb bean sprouts (blanched in hot water)
  • 1/2 head lettuce (chopped)
  • 1/2 cup basil
  • 1/2 cup cilantro
  • 1/2 cup mint

Recipe

  • 1 heat 2 tblspns oil in frying pan.
