Rajasthani Dahi Vada

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 10 medium mung dal
  • 500 g curds
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon roasted jeera powder
  • 1 teaspoon red chili pepper
  • 1 cup tamarind chutney
  • 3 coriander leaves, finely chopped

Recipe

  • 1 soak moong-dal vada for 4-5 hours.
  • 2 while serving, squeeze out the water.
  • 3 put it in a serving plate.
  • 4 beat the curd along with sugar and pour over the vadas.
  • 5 also pour the tamarind chutney and sprinkle all the masala to taste.
  • 6 garnish with chopped coriander.
